To calculate your
car insurance
 premium, you will need to collect quotes and compare rates from many insurance companies.
Each company has its own rating system that is not fully disclosed to the public but involves looking at many factors including:
  • Coverage requested
  • Type of vehicle
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Location
  • Driving history
  • Credit
These factors (and many others) are weighted according to the insurance company’s policy and that is how your premium is calculated. When shopping for new car insurance, you should shop around and compare quotes from many companies to ensure you are getting the best deal.
