My son just got a new car and we wanted to put his car on our policy. What's the easiest way to add a car to my insurance?

To add a car to your insurance policy, you can either call your provider, manage your policy online, or schedule an in-person meeting. As the insured party, you’re always in control of your policy, so you can add a new vehicle whenever you want.
Before you update your policy, make sure you have the necessary information:
  • Your policy number
  • Make, model, and year of your car
  • Vehicle identification number (VIN)
  • License plate number
When you add a new car to an existing policy, your rate will increase. But it may also make you eligible for a multi-car discount. Be sure to
ask your provider about their discounts
when you add your son’s car.
If you’d like to make sure your car insurance rate doesn’t spike, try
