I love Smart cars for their compact, convenient size, but I’m also thinking of switching to an electric car for my next purchase. How big is the electric smart car in comparison?

The Smart car is remarkable for being one of the smallest cars on the market, but the manufacturers have actually been making an
electric
 version of the ultra-compact city car since 2007.
While the exterior appearance of the electric 2020 Smart EQ ForTwo and the gas-powered 2015 Smart FourTwo are slightly different, the dimensions are exactly the same at 1,555 mm height, 2,695 mm length, and 1,663 mm width. Because of the electric battery, the electric versions of these cars do weigh slightly more by about 300 lbs.
