Have there been any recalls for the Pontiac Torrent?

I’m looking at buying a used mid-side crossover, and I’ve got my eye on a Pontiac Torrent. Have there been any recalls on the Torrent in the past?

The
Pontiac Torrent
, which was produced from 2006 through 2009, has been recalled four times, all affecting the 2007 model.
All of these issues should have been repaired by a Pontiact dealer. Since Pontiac no longer exists, you could take your Pontiac to a GM dealer to inspect it, as Pontiac was a General Motors brand.
Here are the four issues that prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall the 2007 Pontiac Torrent:
  • Fuel Pump Module May Crack, September 2012: Either the plastic supply or return port may have been cracked, leading to the possibility of a fuel leak. A fuel leak close to an ignition source could spark a fire.
  • Roof Rail Airbags, November 2007: A lack of roof rail airbags, or an optional sunroof in a 2007 Torrent increased the risk of head injury in case an accident occurred.
  • Seat Sensor Calibration/Airbag, August 2007: The Torrent’ airbag indicator wasn’t working properly, and could indicate the system being “off” even if a front passenger was detected. If an accident occurred and the front airbag system was off, this could lead to serious injury or death.
  • Windshield Mounting, June 2007: An incorrect primer was used during manufacturing to seal the Torrent’s windshield. Instead, the windshield’s structural integrity was weakened, leading to an increased risk of injury in a crash.
