Have there been any Mazda RX-8 recalls?
I thought the dealership would call me if there was a recall, but I guess I’m just supposed to look it up for myself. Have there been any Mazda RX-8 recalls?

Most of the Mazda RX-8 recalls are related to airbags, although there’s also a recall for a fuel system component in some models.
Obviously, airbag issues should be taken very seriously! Some Mazdas from as early as 2004 have airbag recalls, although the most recent airbag Mazda RX-8 recall is from 2011.
Not sure if you’re impacted? You can check car recalls by VIN number. Just find your VIN—usually etched onto a plate on your dash, on the driver’s side door frame, or listed in your owner’s manual. Or, call your local Mazda dealership and ask them to look it up for you.
If your vehicle is affected, your dealer should schedule you for a repair (for free).
Don’t wait to find out if your RX-8 has a problem! Not only do you face the risk of driving with a malfunctioning airbag, but your insurance company could also claim that you don’t deserve coverage in a related accident because you delayed the repair.
