Have there been any Infiniti G35 recalls?

I’ve been on the hunt for a sporty sedan, and I keep coming across the Infiniti G35 in my search. I’m tempted to buy a used one, but I want to avoid a model year with any recalls. Are there any G35 recalls I should know about?

Not only is the Infiniti G35 a popular sedan, but it also packs some engine power and storage space for an adventurous ride! Unfortunately, there have been eight G35 recalls according to RepairPal.
Here are the issues with their corresponding recall years:
  • 2010: Passenger airbags may not deploy when needed
  • 2008: Passenger airbags may be suppressed
  • 2006: Headlights may have poor illumination
  • 2005: Filler hose may experience fuel leaks
  • 2003: Engine may stop running unexpectedly
  • 2003: Brake lights may be faulty
  • 2002: Headlamp adjustment caps missing (only one vehicle affected)
  • 2002: Fuel line may come loose from the pump (only one vehicle affected)
One way to ensure the G35 model you’re eyeing isn’t the subject of a recall is to enter your VIN on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website. Even if your particular model pops up with an issue, the manufacturer is responsible for covering the car repairs, so you might want to move forward either way!
Finally, to futureproof your G35, make sure to check that your car insurance policy is up-to-date to prepare yourself for unexpected mishaps on the road. A full coverage insurance policy which includes collision and comprehensive coverage is usually recommended so that your bills are taken care of in the event of an accident.
