Have there been Acura TLX recalls?
A friend is offering me a great deal on their TLX, and I’m really tempted to buy it. Before I get it, I wanted to find out if it’s a safe car. Have there been Acura TLX recalls?

It’s great to do your homework, so you don’t end up with a lemon! Acura has manufactured the TLX since 2015, and the car has been recalled a total of seven times.
If you can, lookup the VIN number to check for a recall to get the most accurate info. Otherwise, check out the following recalls by year:
- 2022: Tires were cut and torn during the sorting process, which can cause car accidents (19 cars affected)
- 2021: Fuel pump failure can cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash (14 cars affected)
- 2019: Timing belt teeth can separate and cause the engine to stall (94,000 cars affected)
- Weak fuel pumps can cause the engine to stall (440,000 cars affected)
- 2016 Faulty connections can cause the car to shift to neutral unexpectedly (8,000 cars affected)
- 2014 Faulty transmission can prevent the car from shifting into park, which can cause it to roll away (9,000 cars affected)
- The label doesn’t accurately show the car’s gross weight rating (189 cars affected)
If you suspect that your specific TLX was subject to a recall, contact Honda’s customer service at 1-800-382-2238.
