Does Volkswagen Golf have Android Auto?
My cousin moved to the city and sold me her Volkswagen Golf for practically nothing, which is great and all, but I’m starting to suspect that Android Auto isn’t part of the deal because I can’t get my phone to connect. Is there Android Auto in Volkswagen Golf?

There’s definitely a classic charm about the Golf. The Volkswagen Golf has Android Auto for model years 2016 and up.
Volkswagen launched its MIB II infotainment system in 2016, which brought Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility to nearly every VW model—including the Golf. The only models that didn’t receive this tech makeover were the Eos and Touareg since they were on the verge of extinction anyway.
Golf’s end was also on the horizon. The 2021 model year was its last, putting an end to a 46-year production run. The Golf GTI and Golf R hang on for 2022.
Even in its final year, Golf’s infotainment interface is a bit lacking. The screen is a mere 6.5 inches and the graphics appear dated. But if you aren’t hung up on appearances and are more concerned with being able to pipe your Android phone’s media through your car speakers, the Golf doesn’t disappoint—as long as you’re driving a 2016 model or newer.
