Does USAA renters insurance cover moving?

I have a USAA renters insurance policy. I am about to move apartments. Will my USAA renters insurance cover my move?

Congrats on the move—a new apartment is a cause for excitement. While
USAA
won’t cover the actual cost of moving, you will have protection against certain damages during the move.
USAA
renters insurance
will never pay for the move itself. However, if your possessions are damaged by a named peril during the move, you’ll be covered. Named perils are sudden, unexpected issues like theft and fire. Damage done while (literally) moving items, like banging a dresser against a wall, won’t be covered.
Plus, if you’re hiring professional movers, many movers have insurance, so they’ll cover any damage they cause to your possessions during the moving process.
Still not sure exactly what you’re covered for? Call a USAA agent and find out!
