Does Travelers offer home insurance?
Now that I’ve retired, I’ve had time to review my finances. I’d like to bundle my insurance policies so that they’re all with the same company. I have my car insurance with Travelers, so I thought I would start there. Does Travelers offer home insurance as well?

Travelers
offers home insurance policies that are highly customizable. They are also known for offering discount options. Here are a few of the discounts Travelers promotes:
- If youbundleyour auto and home policies, Travelers will offer you a discount. And if you add on a third policy, you’ll save even more.
- If you’ve never or rarely filed a claim in the past, Travelers will offer what they call a Loss-Free Discount.
- If your house is certified green by the Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) organization, you’ll receive a discount.
- If you’ve installed safety devices such as water sensors and/or a home security system, you’ll qualify for a discount.
Travelers also offers what they call a Platinum Choice Home homeowners policy, which adds extra protection beyond a standard policy. With Platinum Choice, you have coverage for damage done by power surges and sewer backups, for example.
Whether you wind up choosing Travelers, be sure to do some comparison shopping to compare rates, discounts, and coverages offered. With a bit of research, you’ll discover the right policy for you.
