Does Toyota offer an extended warranty?
I’m on the market for a new vehicle. However, I usually own cars until they’re literally about ready to fall apart. As a result, I want to buy a car that has a long extended warranty. Does Toyota offer any types of extended warranties?

On top of its 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty,
Toyota
also offers three levels of an extended warranty at three levels of coverage. Warranty prices vary from about $1,000 to $2,500 depending on the model. The three levels of coverage include:Platinum coverage (bumper-to-bumper)
- Engine
- Transmission
- Axles
- Suspension and steering
- Fuel system
- Cooling system
- Heating and air conditioning
- Brakes
- Electrical
- Any additional components (radio, seats, etc.)
Gold coverage
- Everything the Platinum level covers minus additional components
Powertrain coverage:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Axles
The extended warranties also have different lengths of coverage, ranging from 6 years/100,000 miles for the powertrain coverage to 10 years/125,000 miles for Platinum coverage. The Gold coverage can extend to 8 years/100,000 miles.
