I’m a tall driver looking for a good three-row SUV. I’ve heard the Toyota Highlander XLE interior is spacious, but is that true? How would this hold up on my family’s long road trips from Connecticut to North Carolina every summer?

The
Toyota Highlander XLE
interior is an impressive harmony of simplicity and elegance. There’s a tactile element to the design, where your hands and elbows are always landing on something nice. This interior could be dropped into a Lexus and no one would complain one bit.Space-wise, the Highlander’s first two rows are excellent. The seats have excellent support, and even your inlaws would struggle to find reasons to gripe and complain on long trips.
The back row is okay for kids, so-so for teenagers, but entirely useless for adults. But hey, if you can avoid using that third row and keep it folded down, you’ll expand the cargo space from 16 to 48.4 cubic feet.
