Does the Toyota Highlander have Apple CarPlay?
I’d like to purchase a new Toyota, but it must have Apple CarPlay. Without it, I’ll have to look elsewhere. Is there Apple CarPlay on the Highlander?

You’ll love this: the 2022 Toyota Highlander comes with standard Apple CarPlay. That’s right, all 22 models of the Highlander’s seven grades have Apple CarPlay compatibility.
But this wasn’t always the case—only 2020 and newer Highlander models have this smartphone integration option. This Toyota model also offers Android Auto and Amazon Alexa.
When you pair your compatible iPhone with Apple CarPlay, your car will display and help do all of the following while you drive, without any distractions:
- Get directions
- Make calls
- Send and receive text messages
- Listen to music
