Does the Subaru Forester Sport have a manual transmission?

After driving automatic vehicles for a few years now, I’m itching to drive a stick shift again and I’m thinking about going with a Subaru. Can I get a manual Subaru Forester Sport?

We don’t blame you—driving a stick shift is always more fun! Unfortunately, the
Subaru Forester Sport
 doesn’t have a manual transmission. Introduced in 2019, the vehicle has since come standard with a continuously variable automatic transmission or CVT.
That said, Subaru does offer a few other vehicles that have an optional manual transmission:
  • Subaru BRZ
    : The sporty car comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission.
  • Subaru Crosstrek
    : The family-friendly SUV is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission.
  • Subaru Impreza
    : The base model comes equipped with a five-speed manual transmission
  • Subaru WRX
    : The sports car is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission.
