Does the Mercedes-Benz ML350 have any active recalls?
I’ve wanted to purchase a used Mercedes-Benz ML350 for some time, but a mechanic buddy told me the model has been recalled for all kinds of problems. Are there any active recalls on the ML350?
. Those interested in buying a used ML350 should be aware of the following safety recalls:
Faulty Airbag Inflator. Mercedes-Benz has issued recalls for ML350 models made between 2009 and 2011 for a faulty airbag inflator on the driver’s side of the vehicle that may rupture upon deployment, causing serious injury.
Faulty Seat Belt Anchor. In ML350s manufactured between April 2015 and May 2015, the seat belt anchor for the rear right-hand seat belt may have been incorrectly installed, making that seat belt prone to failing in the event of a crash.
Fractured Rear Axle Bolts. The incorrect assembly of certain drive axle carriers may affect ML350 models between 2015 and 2016.
Airbag Failure. In ML350 4matic models made between 2012 and 2014, the airbags may not deploy during a crash. As a result, these models have been recalled.
Faulty Fuel Pump. In ML350 models made between 2012 and 2015, a faulty fuel pump control unit may cause the engine to stall while driving.
Oil Reservoir Leaks. If the oil level in your ML350 ACS reservoir is too low, oil may leak or foam through holes in the cap, increasing the risk of
System Faults. Over 50+ Mercedes-Benz models manufactured between 2013 and 2017 have been impacted by a fault in the vehicle’s software—including certain ML350s.
Reduced Braking/Brake Failure. This particular recall was issued for many Mercedes-Benz ML-class models—including ML350s made between 2006 and 2011—for corrosion in the brake booster housing unit, which can result in reduced brake performance or brake failure.
