pickup with a manual transmission if you’re willing to buy a truck produced in 2011 or earlier. The Ford Ranger came out for the 1983 model year and was produced for North American markets until 2011 when the model line was turned over to the
Mazda B-Series
. However, Ford reintroduced the Ranger in 2019, but this time it was only available as an automatic. It’s getting harder and harder to find manual transmission vehicles because consumer demand for them is shrinking. However, if you look in the used car market you can find the following manual transmission options on a Ford Ranger:
- First generation, 1983-1992: 4-speed or 5-speed manual transmission
- Second generation, 1993-1997: 4-speed or 5-speed manual transmission
- Third generation, 1998-2011: 5-speed manual transmission
