Does the Cadillac STS have any recalls?
I know my parents drive a Cadillac STS. I recently heard about a malfunction with one of the models and now I’m a little concerned for their safety. Did the Cadillac STS have any recalls?

Yes—even in its short six-year lifespan, the Cadillac STS racked up several recalls from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) over the years. You can check for these recalls:
Exterior lighting
4,586 models of the 2008 STS and STS-V were recalled for Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TMPS) malfunctions. The proper low pressure warning light does not work, which could lead to premature tire failure, increasing the risk of control loss and a crash.
Rear axle
An estimated nearly 276,000 vehicles were affected by a recall for possible rear differential failure due to a faulty rear axle pinion seal leading to possible fluid leaks. The failure could cause a loss of power or loss of control, leading to a crash.
Rear suspension
Affected vehicles may have a left or right rear suspension that was incorrectly welded, which could cause the toe link to separate. This malfunction could lead to loss of control and resulting in a crash.
Vehicle speed control:
Certain vehicles with all-wheel drive and a 3.6-liter V6 engine may not have enabled torque monitoring functions. These functions are intended to limit engine speed and torque when issues with the engine control module (ECM) or other software failures happen. Without these functions, failures could lead to crashes.
