Does the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card have car insurance?
I want to get a new credit card that I use specifically for travel. But I definitely want one that has rental car insurance. I’ve been eyeing the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card, but I can’t see if it has the insurance coverage I need. Does the Bank of America Travel Rewards card offer rental car insurance?

With so many travel cards out there, choosing one is certainly difficult! The good news is that the Bank of America Travel Rewards credit card offers
rental car insurance
! It’s a free benefit that comes with the card itself.However, the card has some restrictions and caveats you should be aware of before you apply for it:
- It doesn’t cover damage due to DUI, DWI, or reckless driving.
- It doesn’t cover cargo vans, motorcycles, or large trucks.
- The coverage only applies to the rental car—you will need at least your own liability insurance to cover damage to other vehicles or to cover other motorists’ medical bills.
- Coverage lasts for 15 days maximum in the U.S. and 31 days in other countries listed on the policy.
- You must decline the rental car company insurance.
Keep in mind that if you have full-coverage
car insurance
