Does the age of my car affect the rate of my insurance policy?

What year vehicle should I be looking at to get the best insurance rate? I am shopping around for a car and I want to purchase one that will have a low premium. The vehicle I get will be used.

“It is good to be open-minded about your next vehicle. While shopping for a cheap car to insure, age is a factor you should consider.
One of the cheapest cars to insure is a Honda Civic DX. But the cost of 2005 Honda and a 2020 Honda will be very different when the coverages are priced out.
A 2005 Honda wouldn’t need to have comprehensive coverage and collision coverage, which can save you hundreds of dollars a year on insurance.
When it comes to the liability coverage, a newer model car will have better safety features, resulting in a lower cost for bodily injury and property damage coverage.”
