Does the 2012 GMC Acadia have Bluetooth?
I am looking to buy my first car and have my eye on a used 2012 GMC Acadia—it seems to be in good condition and the price is good, but I want to make sure I can connect my phone to the vehicle. Does the 2012 GMC Acadia have Bluetooth?

GMC Acadia
: SL, SLE, SLT-1, SLT-2, and Denali—may be equipped with Bluetooth as part of the Preferred Package. This optional $380 upgrade adds Bluetooth connectivity, remote vehicle start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.If your 2012 GMC Acadia was equipped with this package, you should see a Bluetooth symbol on your steering wheel. To connect your phone or other wireless device via Bluetooth, follow the steps below:
- Press and hold the “Push to Talk” button on your steering wheel for two seconds.
- Say “Bluetooth” and then say “Pair.” The system will then provide instructions and a 4-digit PIN that you will need to use later.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and go to Bluetooth settings. Select “Pair a new device” or look under “Available Devices” for a device named “Your Vehicle.”
- Select “Your Vehicle” and follow any instructions from your phone. Enter the PIN from step 2 and provide a name for your phone.
- The pairing process is complete when the system says “ successfully paired.”
Up to five phones can be paired to your 2012 GMC Acadia, but only one device can be connected at a time—if multiple paired devices are in range, it will connect to the first device you paired.
If you’re buying a used 2012 GMC Acadia that was not equipped with Bluetooth when it was first purchased, you can still add the feature by purchasing a Bluetooth adapter or by installing a new radio head unit with Bluetooth functionality—the adapter is the cheaper of the two, but a head unit will be more reliable and of a higher quality.
