I’ve been driving an old beater from the 90s for years, and it finally kicked the bucket. I’m looking at a 2009 Honda Accord, but I want to make sure I get a vehicle new enough to include some basic technology. Does the Accord from 2009 have Bluetooth?

comes with Honda’s HandsFreeLink Bluetooth system. The 2009 version of this technology is a bit outdated
compared to modern smartphone compatibility, but it offers essentials like hands-free phone calls and music streaming.Here’s what you need to do to use Bluetooth in a 2009 Accord:
- Use the “SETTINGS” menu on your smartphone to enable Bluetooth
- Look for the “PHONE” button on your center dashboard and press it
- When your car’s infotainment display prompts you to add a phone, choose “YES”
- Find your phone on the list of devices, select it, and look for a four-digit PIN
- Open the Bluetooth menu on your mobile device and find your Accord on the list
- Type in your PIN and select “OK” on the confirmation screen
That’s all there is to it! You’ll now be able to import your contacts, access them from your car’s dashboard screen, and use the convenient voice-command feature to make calls while driving. If you want to play music using Bluetooth, simply select Bluetooth from your vehicle’s audio menu, and use your phone to choose your preferred streaming app and playlist.
