Does the 2004 Chevy Tahoe have Bluetooth?

I have a 2004 Tahoe I bought used, and I want to talk on my phone using Bluetooth. Does my Chevy Tahoe LT have Bluetooth capability, or do I need to purchase OnStar?

Going hands-free is a great way to cut down on
distracted driving
. Unfortunately, the 2004
Chevrolet Tahoe
does not have Bluetooth capability. GM has stood behind its decision to omit Bluetooth from its vehicles because of the availability of OnStar, which offers a paid call-out feature. Since the 2004 Chevy Tahoe has OnStar, it does not have Bluetooth.
That said, if you want to connect your phone to your SUV, there are aftermarket products or adapter kits you can use to do so. Sites like Amazon or local electronic stores offer Bluetooth receivers. They’re inexpensive, and, because you can change songs with a remote, you won’t be tempted to take your eyes off the road and can avoid a distracted driving charge. But before you head out and buy a receiver, make sure you know the best kind for your car.
While the 2004 Chevy Tahoe might not have Bluetooth, it does have other great features, including:
  • Clock upholstery
  • Six-way power driver seat
  • Front folding armrest with storage
  • Third-row folding and removable bench (optional)
  • Digital clock in radio
  • Front folding armrest with storage
  • Mini-overhead console
  • Pass lock theft deterrent system
  • Power glass sunroof (optional)
