Does Tesla make the fastest electric car?

I have a few friends who are Tesla enthusiasts, and they claim that Teslas are the fastest electric cars, hands down. Is this true?

As far as commercially-available electric cars go, the
Tesla
 Model S Plaid, with a top speed of 200 mph and a 0-60 speed of 1.99 seconds, is the fastest mass-market electric car currently for sale.
A few other speedy cars you might want to check out include:
  • 2022 Lucid Air Dream Performance: 169 mph
  • Tesla Model X Plaid: 163 mph
  • Tesla Model 3 Performance: 162 mph
  • Porsche Taycan Turbo S: 161 mph
  • Tesla Model Y Performance: 155 mph
  • Audi RS e-tron GT: 155 mph
