Does Subaru’s warranty cover batteries?

Yes, Subaru’s warranty covers batteries. But, there are different warranties for different battery types. Here’s how it all breaks down.
Regular car batteries: Original equipment batteries are covered under Subaru’s basic new car limited warranty. That warranty lasts for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Hybrid batteries: The batteries used as part of a Subaru hybrid’s powertrain are covered by the Subaru hybrid system warranty. This coverage lasts for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Replacement batteries: Genuine Subaru replacement batteries are covered by either the company’s replacement battery warranty or the remainder of your factory warranty, whichever is longer. The replacement battery warranty lasts 30 months (two and a half years), regardless of mileage.
