One of my friends was telling me how much money they saved on their car insurance with a telematics program, and I’m kind of curious about it. My coverage is currently through Safeco—do you know if they have a telematics program?

has a telematics program called RightTrack, and it can save you between 5% and 30% on your car insurance
premiums. The best part is you’re guaranteed a minimum discount of 5% just for completing the enrollment process, with the potential to save as much as 30%! Every telematics program is a little bit different, and Safeco’s RightTrack monitors four things: the number of miles driven, the time of day you drive, braking, and acceleration.
It doesn’t monitor where you are or any personal details, and if your driving habits aren’t discount-worthy it won’t raise your rates—you just won’t save any money.
