I teach middle school and I'm looking for ways to save money. I'm currently insured with Progressive; do they offer a teacher discount? What other companies offer teacher discounts?

Do nurses qualify for insurance discounts? I know car insurance companies sometimes offer occupational discounts.

Will my renters policy cover me if I travel a lot? I currently live in Colorado, but two weeks a month I am sent to different parts of the country for work. I live out of a hotel for that time and bring only what fits in a suitcase. Do I need to change my policy every time I leave town?
