I’m about to buy a new Porsche Cayenne, and I’m a little nervous since it’s my first luxury-brand vehicle. I want to make sure I have all my bases covered before I head to the dealership. Does Porsche offer an extended warranty?

Porsche
offers two extended-warranty options, both of which last for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles. The Platinum Plan provides the most comprehensive coverage, and applies to most of your car’s parts and components in the event of mechanical malfunction or failure. Here’s what it includes:- Engine
- Transmission
- Drive axle
- Seals and gaskets
- Shocks
- Suspension
- Steering
- Brakes
- Climate control
- Fuel system
- Electrical components
- Computer systems
You also have the option of purchasing a Powertrain Plan limited warranty, which only covers your engine, transmission, drive axle, seals, and gaskets. Although this plan offers less protection than the Platinum Plan, it’s worth noting that most powertrain extended warranties don’t cover seals and gaskets—making Porsche’s plan better than most of its competitors.
Both extended warranty options also come with the Porsche Vehicle Service Protection Plan, which offers roadside assistance with a towing reimbursement of up to $250, and rental car reimbursement for up to 10 days while your car is at the dealership being repaired.
