Does Oklahoma have a national forest?

A friend of mine is from Oklahoma, and he insisted his state does not have a national forest. Is he right? Is there a national forest in Oklahoma?

Oh no—we hate to correct your friend, but he is indeed incorrect!
Oklahoma has one national forest, the Ouachita National Forest.
Ouachita is the largest National Forest in the South, spanning 1.8 million acres across Oklahoma and Arkansas. Enjoy swimming, fishing, camping, biking, horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying the natural surroundings. Ouachita is definitely not the park to miss!
We hope this loving correction of your friend is well-received.
Better yet—why don’t you ask him if he’s overpaying for car insurance? He might not even know!
