Does needing an SR-22 increase your insurance?

How much does insurance increase if I need an SR-22? I'm going to be getting new insurance and I'm wondering how much more it'll cost now.

“Needing SR-22 auto insurance typically increases your insurance rates.
While adding an SR-22 to your policy normally has a flat fee, the rate that car insurance companies charge will be higher.
SR-22s are required due to high-risk driving, such as:
  • numerous accidents
  • violations
  • license suspensions
  • DUIs
Car insurance carriers look at a variety of factors when determining a rate and your driving record is one of them. Having multiple offenses will always increase your rates compared to someone with a clean driving record.
Not every company offers SR-22 coverage, so you’ll need to shop around. To find cheap car insurance with SR-22, you’ll want to request quotes with multiple carriers.”
