Does Nationwide insure mobile homes?

I’m thinking about downsizing to a mobile home. But I want to keep all my insurance with the same company, Nationwide. Does Nationwide insure mobile homes?

No, Nationwide does not currently insure mobile homes or manufactured homes.
Insurance companies differentiate between site-built homes and manufactured or mobile homes. Mobile homes are more vulnerable to weather damage, which means they represent a higher risk. Unfortunately, this increased risk means that many companies will not cover mobile homes.
While you can’t use Nationwide for your home insurance, you can still downsize and have insurance for your new home.
Look for mobile home insurance from a company like
Allstate
 or
Farmers
. Some companies (
USAA
,
GEICO
,
Progressive
) partner with third-party companies to offer mobile home insurance. You’ve still got options!
If it’s important to you to keep all your insurance with a single company, consider switching everything over to a company that offers mobile home insurance.
