Does Nationwide insurance cover my car when it is being test driven?

I am selling my car on Facebook and a lot of people want to test drive it before they buy it. I have Nationwide insurance on the car. Is the car covered during the test drive?

“Good question! This is referred to as an issue of “permissive use.” If the party driving your vehicle is taking it for a test drive before purchasing the vehicle, it can be argued that permissive use—or permission to drive the vehicle—is implied.
Contact your
Nationwide
agent to ensure that your policy covers permissive use by a licensed operator.
There are risks, of course, with allowing another driver to operate a vehicle that is covered under your insurance. You may want to increase your
liability coverage
limits and add
collision coverage
to the policy if the vehicle is not already fully covered.”
