Does Nationwide insurance cover a rebuilt title?

I just received a rebuilt title for one of my vehicles so I can get it back on the road. Will my existing Nationwide policy cover a rebuilt car?

Rebuilding a vehicle is a lot of work, but it’s rewarding too! And you’re in luck:
Nationwide insurance
does cover a
rebuilt title
.
A vehicle that’s been damaged to the point that the insurance company declares it a total loss is given a
salvage title
. While it’s possible to purchase one of these vehicles cheaply and fix it up, salvage-titled vehicles are illegal to drive on public roads.
In order for a formerly salvaged vehicle to receive a rebuilt title, it must pass an inspection. Vehicles with rebuilt titles can be legally driven—but not every
car insurance
company is willing to insure a vehicle with such a traumatic past. Luckily, Nationwide is one of the insurers that will cover a rebuilt vehicle.
You’ll need to submit extra documentation, such as proof of inspection, to get approved for a rebuilt title policy from Nationwide, but you may want to consider some other options, too. You should compare at least three to five
car insurance quotes online
to make sure you’ve found the best deal for your unique driver profile.
