Does Nationwide cover damage that my pet causes?
Will they cover the damage my dog caused to my furniture? My puppy has chewed up my sofa and the legs on my dining room table! I have had renters insurance with Nationwide for a while and part of the policy covers my property.

does have quality renter’s insurance policies, but unfortunately, damage done by your pet is excluded from the policy. That said, make sure to get in touch with Nationwide about your new pooch. Many pet owners don’t realize that the liability portion of their renter’s policy will provide protection in case of a lawsuit due to a dog bite.
Talk with your agent to see if you need to increase your liability limits.
