Does my Honda Civic need new wheels?

I had a blow out over the weekend and ended up driving on my rim for a bit until I could get off the highway. I’m not sure if it can be repaired, or if I need to replace it. How can I tell if my Honda Civic needs new wheels?

Driving on a rim isn’t the end of the world if it is a very short distance. However, driving on a flat tire can quickly damage or bend the rim leading to costly repairs for your
Honda Civic
.
If the wheel is cracked or structurally unsound, it will need replacing. If you’re not sure if it’s “unsound” or not, listen for shaking or vibrating coming from the wheel area while driving.
Dents may or may not be able to be fixed, depending on severity. Generally speaking, if the rim is only slightly bent, a professional tire expert should be able to restore the shape.
Before you get stuck on the highway with a flat tire again, add roadside assistance to your
car insurance
policy.
Roadside assistance
can change tires, jump dead batteries, replace fluids, and even give you a tow if necessary.
