Does Minnesota offer an electric vehicle rebate?

Can I get credit on my Minnesota state taxes for buying an electric car? I’ve been thinking about going electric for my next car because of the gas prices lately, and a tax credit would seal the deal.

Yes, you can!
Minnesota
offers a rebate in the form of a $125 credit to drivers who purchase or lease a plug-in hybrid vehicle. It also offers a $250 credit to drivers who purchase or lease an all-electric vehicle.
One nice detail about Minnesota’s electric vehicle rebate program is that the car you purchase can be new or used. Some states require you to purchase a new vehicle from a dealership in order to get credit for the purchase, but you can buy a secondhand vehicle and still receive the rebate in Minnesota!
