McLaren is still around, though it’s not a company Marty McFly would recognize. And while the company doesn’t produce an SUV for sale to the public, McLaren has made a supercar SUV specifically for racing.
Today, the luxury carmaker goes by McLaren Automotive rather than its original name, McLaren Cars. It’s based in the United Kingdom, and mostly manufactures supercars and luxury models for racing and fun.
Last year, the company debuted the prototype for its Odyssey 21 SUV, an all-electric, 550-horsepower racing buggy destined for the Extreme E off-road SUV racing series. Any plans for an SUV intended for consumers are, at least for now, unknown.
