Does Mazda's warranty cover the battery?

We purchased a new Mazda CX-30 six months ago and the battery already died. What are the chances this is covered in the warranty?

That’s super annoying! Fortunately,
Mazda’s
warranty does cover the battery. The High-performance Replacement Battery Warranty covers 100% of your battery for 36 months. After that, you’ll have to pay a significant portion of the costs. Here’s how it shakes out:
Time
Coverage
1–36 months
Free battery replacement and labor
37–48 months
Customer pays for 70% of the battery’s MSRP and labor
49–60 months
Customer pays for 80% of the battery’s MSRP and labor
The battery warranty takes care of any technical mishap on Mazda’s end, but it won’t cover damage or failure as a result of accidents, theft, weather, or improper use.
Car warranties
are definitely useful, but they don’t cover everything. If you want your Mazda protected against car accidents, weather, or vandalism, you’re going to need a good
car insurance
policy.
