Does Kia’s warranty cover oil changes?
I just purchased a Kia about 6 months ago and it’s about time for my first oil change. Is this covered under my factory warranty?

No—Kia’s warranty does not cover oil changes.
In fact, all basic maintenance of filters, tires, belts, brakes, and more will not be covered under warranty. This is quite typical, regardless of what brand your vehicle is.
However, it is advised that you adhere to the recommended maintenance schedule for these to keep your warranty intact. Skipping out on oil changes—or even failing to use the correct oil per manufacturer’s recommendations—can make it difficult to get mechanical issues covered by your warranty down the line.
To make sure your Kia is properly maintained, you can absolutely take it back to the dealership for regularly scheduled services.
