Does insurance have a payment grace period?

Will they give me a grace period to make the payment? Things in my life have been really crazy lately and I realized that I forgot to pay my GEICO insurance policy.

“Every carrier is different, but
GEICO
will send out a cancelation notice after the missed payment. This notice will give you the last date to make the payment.
Generally, this gives you an additional 14 days.
If you noticed the bill after this time frame and the policy is canceled, give them a call. They may be able to reinstate the policy and get coverage going again for you effective the next day.
Keep in mind that when a lapse in coverage happens, the rate of the policy can change.
