Does GEICO cover windshield replacement?

Will my GEICO insurance cover replacing my windshield? Something flew off the back of a truck and hit my windshield, and now it’s cracked. I’m hoping to get it replaced, but I want to make sure my insurance will cover it first.

Yes,
GEICO
 will cover windshield replacement under most of their comprehensive insurance policies. However, you’ll need to check your policy to see how much of the replacement will be covered by your insurer.
If you don’t have
comprehensive coverage
, on the other hand, you might not be covered at all. In this case, windshield repair or replacement could cost between $100 and $400 out of pocket.
Keep in mind: Depending on what state you live in, state law may actually prohibit insurance providers charging you a deductible to replace your windshield, meaning you wouldn’t have to pay anything out of pocket with the right coverage in place.
