Does driving an electric car help the environment?

I’ve read a ton about Teslas and other electric cars, and I think I’m going to buy one. While I’m excited about skipping the line at the pump, I’ve also read that electric cars don’t actually help the environment. Is this true? Does driving an electric vehicle help the environment or not?

While some myths show that electric cars hurt the environment because of battery manufacturing or the increased use of electricity powered by oil or coal, these aren’t true. An electric car helps the environment by lowering the amount of greenhouse gases expelled by driving on a daily basis.
Research has also backed the positive impact of the environment on cars like
Teslas
and other EVs. Some other benefits include:
  • Fewer emissions than internal combustion engines
  • Fewer tailpipe emissions
  • Use of eco-friendly materials in production
  • Less continuous pollution than many other types of vehicles
If you decide to buy an electric vehicle, just know that they’re often more expensive to insure because they’re more expensive to repair. So, the best way to find affordable car insurance is with the
