is indeed making an electric car: the Cadillac Lyriq and Celestiq.The 2023 Lyriq is Cadillac’s first all-electric vehicle. It’s a crisp, stylish crossover SUV that is priced at around $60,000. It is meant to compete with the Tesla Model Y.
The Lyriq will use GM’s next-generation EV platform and battery system: Ultium.

Cadillac Celestiq
, which is the sister car of the Lyriq, will be released for the 2025 model year. It’s supposed to have a ton of high-tech upgrades. Industry experts are predicting the Celestiq will cost at least $200,000. That’s a hefty price, so it will be competing with other luxury sedans.
Looking to the future, Cadillac plans on exclusively offering EVs by 2030, leading the electrification of General Motors.
That means that by the next decade, the company won’t be offering internal combustion engine cars anymore.
