Does an electric car have an engine block?

I'm still trying to figure out how electric cars differ from regular cars. Do they have an engine block, or is that part irrelevant too?

You’re right; there are a lot of significant differences between an EV and a regular car.
One of the most notable differences is that an
electric vehicle
runs on an electric motor powered by electricity. A classic car has an internal combustion engine that is powered by fuel. So the engine that you would find in a typical fueled car is absent from an electric.
The job of an engine block in a gas-powered car is to help support the engine. Because the electric vehicle has no engine, this component and many other typical engine parts are unnecessary and aren’t included in the design of an electric car.
