Does Allstate renters insurance cover storage units?

I’m moving next week, so I need to store some of my things in a storage unit. Honestly, I’m a little worried about not having it in my home. Will my Allstate renters insurance cover my storage unit?

Congratulations on your new place, and I hope moving goes smoothly for you.
You’re in luck—your
Allstate
renters insurance will cover your belongings while they’re in a storage unit. In most instances, personal property away from your residence will have coverage up to ten percent of your personal property coverage amount.
That said, depending on your policy, your renters insurance may extend theft-only coverage to the belongings stored away from your home. Your insurance company may also limit coverage for certain valuable items. Be sure you read over your policy to see what will or won’t be covered.
