Does adding remote start void a Hyundai warranty?

I recently bought a new Hyundai, and I was thinking about adding remote start to it. My friend told me this would void my warranty though. Is that true?

First, congratulations on your new
Hyundai
! The short answer to your question is, no—under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, adding a remote start device will not, in and of itself, void your Hyundai’s warranty.
However, if it turns out the addition of this device is the direct cause of other issues with your car, it will void your warranty. That’s why it’s important to consult your Hyundai dealer or the experts at your local garage before installing aftermarket mods on your new car.
Adding aftermarket modifications is a great way to increase your car’s value, which could lead to more money in your pocket if/when you sell it or trade it in. Another way to put more money in your pocket is to ensure you’re never overpaying for
