Does AAA insurance cover a rebuilt title?

My car has a rebuilt title, so I’m not sure if I can get regular coverage for it. I was thinking of calling AAA, but I don’t want to waste my time if they don’t offer insurance for salvaged vehicles. Will AAA cover my car?

You’re in luck!
AAA insurance
does cover cars with a
rebuilt title
—it even offers full coverage! As long as the car passed inspection after being rebuilt, you should have no trouble getting it covered with AAA.
To prove that your car has been rebuilt, you may need to provide:
  • A certified mechanic’s statement
  • Before and after photos of your car
  • The original repair estimate
Insurance companies will not cover a car with a salvage title since it would not be legal to drive it. Once the necessary repairs have been completed and the car has passed an inspection, it will be granted a rebuilt title. Once you have that title secured, you can contact AAA to discuss your car insurance rates!
