Does a Toyota warranty cover scratches?

I was driving my car the other day and I noticed quite a few scratches near the front of the hood. I only bought my Toyota about six months ago, so I’m not sure if my warranty will cover it. Are scratches covered by a Toyota warranty?

Sorry to hear that your new car got dinged up! Unfortunately, none of the
Toyota
warranties cover scratches on a new car, including the 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and the 2-year/25,000-mile ToyotaCare maintenance plan.
The reason that scratches aren’t covered is because the scratches are due to normal wear and tear and not a manufacturer’s defect.
