Does a Toyota extended warranty cover the windshield?
I’m thinking about buying a Toyota extended warranty for my new Toyota vehicle. I’ve read a bit about what the extended warranty covers, but I haven’t seen anything regarding the windshield. Will an extended warranty cover it?

Unfortunately, a Toyota extended warranty will not cover your windshield unless the windshield was installed improperly out of the factory. Damage to your windshield typically falls under normal wear and tear, so any chips, cracks, or dings are not covered by an extended warranty.
That said, some third-party extended warranties may cover damage to your windshield, as will certain car insurance policies. If you have comprehensive coverage or window damage coverage, your insurance will pay for the repairs. You just need to see if paying out of pocket is less or more than paying your deductible.
If you don’t have comprehensive insurance or you want to add it to your car insurance, you should start by shopping around. Use the Jerry app to quickly and conveniently compare quotes so you’re paying the least amount possible for the insurance you need.
