I’m looking for a new vehicle and I’m pretty interested in Mazdas. More specifically, the Mazda 5 right now. Does a Mazda 5 have a timing belt?

 5s use timing chains rather than rubber timing belts.
Timing chains are actually more durable than timing belts. While timing belts are often expected to need replacement at some point, typically between 60,000 to 100,000 miles or so, timing chains can last the life of your vehicle with proper maintenance.
