Does a defensive driving class lower insurance?

I’m going to take a defensive driving class to get a ticket removed from my driving record. While I’m excited about keeping my driving record spotless, I was thinking that the class may also help my car insurance rates. Does taking a defensive driving course lower your insurance?

While getting a ticket dismissed from your driving record is a bonus on its own, a defensive driving class can lower your
car insurance
rates! If you want to take a defensive driving course, make sure it’s approved by your insurer and you should see a drop of up to 20% on your rates over the next three years.
To take a defensive driving class that’s approved, call your DMV and your insurer to find a reputable one. Most of these classes are online, cost between $20 and $100, and take around four to eight hours to complete.
On top of a defensive driving course, shopping around is always a great way to save some cash on your car insurance rates. If you’re not sure where to start, try the
